A classic among the complicated wristwatches

Da Vinci

Who, if not the universal genius Leonardo da Vinci, who perfectly embodies the symbiosis of technology and beauty, could have given his name to such a complicated and timelessly beautiful watch. Thanks to the ingenious watchmaker Kurt Klaus, who constructed a perpetual calendar with automatic movement and chronograph, IWC launched the Da Vinci in 1985, a watch for eternity. The possibility of setting the perpetual calendar only by means of the winding crown was a novelty in the industry and enabled every owner to set the watch himself as usual.

International Watch Company

IWC

The succes story of IWC began in 1868 when the American engineer Florentine Aristo Jones settled in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. His business partner Johann Heinrich Moser had invented a system that enabled them to use the water power of the Rhine for industrial purposes. Together they started the mechanized production of Watches. In the following Year they already produced over 10.000 Watches for the US market and expanded selling internationally.

Tudor - more than just a second choice Rolex

When Hans Wilsdorf acquired the rights to the Tudor brand in 1926, he had great things in mind. A second watch brand, cheaper than his main brand Rolex, but also of high quality.

The Rolex Situation

Getting hold of a Rolex sports model in the normal way - or let's call it the " official " way - became more and more difficult in the months of the past year. No one knows what routes the Submariner, Sea-Dweller, GMT-Master II or Daytona, which are delivered in quite large numbers, take, but they rarely seem to arrive at the concessionaire for the regular end customer.
