Rolex Datejust reference 16200, from 1987, in very good condition. This exceptional example features an extremely rare “Stella Boiler Gauge” dial – a modern collector’s term describing vividly colored, lacquered dials with a circular pattern reminiscent of pressure gauges. The term “Stella” refers to the well-known high-gloss lacquer dials of vintage Day-Date models, whose distinctive aesthetic is reinterpreted here. A highly unusual and collectible configuration of the classic Datejust.

Legendary Waterproofness
The Oyster case is a milestone in the history of watchmaking. Invented by Rolex in 1926, it was the world's first waterproof watch case. Bezel, caseback and winding crown are screwed watertight to the middle section. Form and function are perfectly matched - typically Rolex.

Robust & sought after
For a Rolex to retain its beauty and functionality in extreme conditions, Rolex uses its own stainless steel alloy - Oystersteel. It is particularly resistant to corrosion and distinguished by its special shine. Oystersteel belongs to the steel grade "Stainless Steel 904L" which is normally used in extreme areas such as the aerospace and chemical industries.
