The watch for the world travellers

Sky-Dweller

The Sky-Dweller is the watch for travelers and business people. Its display for a second time zone makes it perfect for frequent travelers. At the same time, the annual calendar can distinguish between 30 and 31 daylong months, making the Sky-Dweller a reliable companion for any businessman.

A Rolex signature feature

The fluted bacel

Originally, the fluting of the oyster bezel had a practical purpose and served like the fluting of the caseback to screw with the middle part of the housing, to ensure the watertightness of the watch. Meanwhile, the fluted bazel has a purely aesthetical function and is made exclusively in gold.

Legendary Waterproofness

Oyster Case

The Oyster case is a milestone in the history of watchmaking. Invented by Rolex in 1926, it was the world's first waterproof watch case. Bezel, caseback and winding crown are screwed watertight to the middle section. Form and function are perfectly matched - typically Rolex.

Inspiration on grey days

It's that time again. The persistent high fog has Vienna firmly in its grip. When I look out of the window, grey is the dominant tone. What is needed is a little horological cheer for the mind. And with that: Welcome to my absolute favourite feature of the current Timelounge homepage.

Thinking of spring today

In the middle of last week, the time had come. A soft chirping sound made me open the windows, which had been kept closed for most of the past months, and there it was: spring. At least a very first, even delicate hint of it. The first birds singing, temperatures that no longer seemed so wintry. One glance at the clock and it was clear: a change was needed for the new season.
