A classic among the complicated wristwatches

Da Vinci

Who, if not the universal genius Leonardo da Vinci, who perfectly embodies the symbiosis of technology and beauty, could have given his name to such a complicated and timelessly beautiful watch. Thanks to the ingenious watchmaker Kurt Klaus, who constructed a perpetual calendar with automatic movement and chronograph, IWC launched the Da Vinci in 1985, a watch for eternity. The possibility of setting the perpetual calendar only by means of the winding crown was a novelty in the industry and enabled every owner to set the watch himself as usual.

International Watch Company

IWC

The succes story of IWC began in 1868 when the American engineer Florentine Aristo Jones settled in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. His business partner Johann Heinrich Moser had invented a system that enabled them to use the water power of the Rhine for industrial purposes. Together they started the mechanized production of Watches. In the following Year they already produced over 10.000 Watches for the US market and expanded selling internationally.

Men's watches

Everything used to be better in the old days, honestly, this saying already got rather on my nerves when I was with my parents. It's unthinkable that I would ever use it myself. After all, today we live in times of the internet, with all kinds of information at our fingertips, and so on and so forth.

Rolex' Left Hand

Rarely could a Rolex collector feel so - excuse me - made fun of as at the start of the Watches and Wonders Geneva 2022. Instead of new models, new innovations, Rolex actually comes - again - with a GMT-Master II in stainless steel. However, the Rolex novelty of the year is not adorned by a really improved movement or a slimmer case, but simply by a new bezel colour. Again!
