The history of the Overseas dates back to the reference "222" introduced by Vacheron Constantin in 1977 on the occasion of the 222nd anniversary of the house. It was the answer to the Royal Oak by Audemars Piguet, launched in 1972, and the Patek Philippe Nautilus that followed. Today, the Overseas enjoys enormously high popularity ratings, much like its rivals. In addition to its modern design, the watch features a waterproof case and a soft iron core that protects against magnetism, making it a reliable companion for daily use and overseas travel.
